Midstream College participates in the Pretoria B-league. The athletics team participates in approximately seven friendly meetings throughout the year and also participates in the NWU-Prestige Top 10, TUT Top 20 and NWU-Top 30 meetings. Midstream College came second at the Pretoria B-league Inter high in 2018.

Over and above the regular training during and before the athletics season, Midstream College also runs an athletics training camp every year.

After completion of the District Championships, 13 of our athletes progressed to the Gauteng Championships. Travis Koekemoer, Chanelle Kruger, Cara Venter and Fredré Conradie were selected for the Gauteng Athletics team and participated in the SA Schools Athletics Championships in Potchefstroom. Cara Venter and Chanelle Kruger did extremely well and both were crowned as the South African champions in triple jump and steeple chase respectively.
